Nick Parnell returns to the beautiful Flinders Ranges for an afternoon of fine music, fine wine and fine food. The concert is preceded by a delicious lunch featuring succulent Salt Bush Merino. Held in the historic renovated woolshed, The Blacksmiths Chatter, this annual event has become a favourite of the Tastes of the Outback Festival. Limited seating, so book now!

About Nick Parnell:
Nick Parnell grew up in Orroroo and has gone on to be regarded as Australia’s most exciting young concert vibraphonists. He has performed with artists including pianist David Helfgott and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and festivals including the Canberra International Chamber Music Festival and Bundaleer Festival. A leader of the new generation of performers, Nick breaks traditional classical music boundaries by performing works by Bach and Chopin on vibraphone. Winner of the 2001 International Melbourne Percussion Competition, his explosive energy and precision on instruments including marimba, drums, gongs and cymbals, have fascinated and enchanted audiences throughout Australia, Asia and the UK. Nick is signed to Australia’s most prestigious record label, ABC Classics.

Performer Nick Parnell explodes the stage with melodic percussive interpretations of classic works; Bach to Brazil is an exotic display of rhythm and colour; an unforgettable musical journey.
This award-winning percussionist is one man with 50 instruments in a high energy performance of festive Brazilian rhythms with soaring Bach and Gershwin melodies.
Audience members will be entranced by tuned wine glasses, bamboo chimes, ethnic drums, woodblocks, piano and vibraphone, as they all get a serious work out.
